While I understand and respect a host’s right to enforce a cancellation policy, I was disappointed by the complete lack of flexibility in my situation. I booked less than 24 hours before check-in and canceled shortly thereafter without ever checking in after realizing the property’s location—directly in front of the airport runway—would not be suitable for my family’s medical and sensory needs. The listing noted the property was “near” the airport; however, I did not feel the photos accurately reflected just how close it is, with the runway directly in front of the home. As a 14-year Airbnb Superhost, I understand the importance of protecting a business. However, I also believe there are times when compassion and flexibility should prevail. I have personally issued refunds in extenuating circumstances, even under a strict cancellation policy. I had hoped for the same consideration. Future guests should carefully review the location and cancellation policy before booking.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The home was exactly as described clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The space was beautifully maintained and felt very welcoming from the moment we arrived. The host was responsive, friendly, and made the check-in process incredibly easy. The location was also perfect, with convenient access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and we would absolutely stay here again. It was an amazing accommodation with beautiful views. The AC was perfect. Love walking out to the beach, best part ever 🩵… the wifi was in and out when you’re in the rooms but it was expected from other reviews I’ve read. The sewage did stink a bit in the bathrooms but it was doable. All the popular restaurants are 4-7min drive. 3 min walk to a nearby small market for all basic necessities. We end up renting a car for 5days since we always adventure out at least 4x/day (about ~$200 a day with taxi services). When you can have a rental for under $300 for a week. Extremely easy to get around with Google Maps. The host is always responding to our questions in a timely manner which was a plus! Will be back here for sure!!

There is nothing not to like about this apartment! it really is lovely, well appointed and thoughtfully furnished. Yulia and Nicole are great hosts and the apartment has everything that you could possibly need. We loved the big balcony and spent many happy hours lounging on the sunbeds when we weren't on the beach or dining at our outside table. The beach directly in front of the apartment is really quite private. All in all, a really great stay which exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We very much hope to return.

Had a great stay over a long weekend. Yulia is a responsive and courteous host. Close proximity to SXM. But wasn’t disturbed by the planes taking off at all. The apartment is on the second floor and is extremely clean and well equipped. The beds are really comfortable and plenty of hot water to shower. Kitchen was well equipped (has a blender/nespresso/coffee maker) There is a small store down the street to get small items for breakfast and lunch. The view and the beach right outside with chairs and floats was the highlight. Walking distance to nightlife on the Dutch side of the Island. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you!
